30 Sweaters That Will Elevate Your Fall Outfits
Oh, sweater weather, I’ve missed you so much. Okay, okay, I know you’re not quite here yet but it’s officially time to start planning out what new knitwear to buy this season.
Before you jump into color and pattern, it’s important to have your staple sweaters in place. These will be your neutrals like black, grey, white and brown. These knits are extremely versatile and will l grow with you as your style evolves year after year. But not only that, they’re timeless. And you’ll get so much wear out of them vs. buying something because it’s trendy for a hot sec and only wearing it one season. (Ahem, wasteful.) Trust me when I say, build out your staples before exploring funky fresh options.
Alright, once you’ve nailed your timeless neutrals, it’s finally time to explore!
My personal goal this year is to elevate my outfits with pops of color and visually interesting texture. I’ve always kinda been intimidated by color because I didn’t know how to work with it. And because of that, I’ve avoided it. (Please tell me I’m not the only one who just always gravitates toward white tops!!)
But this season, I’m diving head-on into the unknown. I’m embracing this new approach to shopping and personal style even if it gets a little frustrating at times. So in conclusion, I want to expand my style, try new things, and explore how the colors I’m wearing make me feel.
And omg, I’m doing the damn thing.
I recently bought this blue wool blend bra and matching oversized cardigan and I feel like a whole. brand. new. woman. This color makes me feel so energized and stylish. Like, wearing this color is so new to me and I’m here for it.
I also snagged this unexpected cable knit sweater that’s backless. If you know me, you know backless tops are my guilty pleasure. They’re just so romantic. And so is this knit, especially with the slight balloon sleeves. This reminds me of those backless summer satin tops, but the fall version.
Off the bat, this sweater with high-waisted, flowy, black trousers, split leg pants, or black leather pants will be a banger. For shoes, try going with black combat boots, western boots, or a heeled boot. And for jewelry, gold chunky hoops all the way. Girl, you will be a head-turner this fall.
Alright, let’s get to the sweaters of the season that will hands-down elevate your fall outfits. The first two below are the ones I’m wearing!
