When it comes to bikinis, I go both ways. I splurge a little here, I save a little there. Honestly, it just depends on how cute the bikini is and if I’ll look hot in it! Hahaha.

So, I was browsing Amazon one day looking for bikinis. (I feel like I never really look for clothes on there unless I’m buying these affordable lululemon align dupes, which btw, are AMAZING.) But I wanted a black bikini and I wanted it asap.

And I didn’t want it to be a plain old typical black bikini. I wanted something elevated, eye-catching, something sexy.

After searching for a while, my jaw literally dropped when I came across this bikini.

What first caught my attention was the top! I love that it has a square neckline but the bottom part of it has a bustier silhouette. I love this hybrid design and I think it looks soooo elevated.

The bottoms were exactly what I was looking for - high waisted. I’ve been into high waisted bikini bottoms because I think they're super flattering, and for me personally, because they help give my rectangular body some shape.

One thing to note about these bottoms is that you will have to shave or get a little wax because they are a bit narrow in the front! Also take my word for it… giving yourself an at-home bikini wax is NOT IT, SIS.

Some little details: there is an underwire in the bikini top. The straps are not adjustable. And, the back of the bikini top connects with a little metal clasp.

The bikini bottoms are meant to be worn high-waisted as opposed to straight on your hips which is why it’s like a “U-shaped” rise. Also, the back of the bottoms are cheeky, kinda similar to how the front looks, but it’s not a straight up thong.
